Ohio State Dna Laws

ohio state dna laws
Did you get your divorce pushed through while pregnant??

I know in most states you must wait to have a divorce finalized until after the baby is born and paternity is established by means of DNA testing, and YES this is a real law I was informed by 2 different lawyers that this is the case.

However I was wondering if any women out there were able to have their divorce pushed through before the baby was born, I was married in the state of Ohio and I need to convince the judge that it IS in my child’s best interest for me to get a divorce so that as soon as my baby is born it will be able to immediately be on my boyfriends insurance..As I know for sure it is my boyfriends baby because I am in the state of Missouri now and was during the month of conception. My husband and I did a seperation on our own terms instead of a legal one to avoid the pricey costs, but we both want this divorce to happen now!!

If it’s agreed upon all the way around that your boyfriend is the father, you get your ex-husband to file for a denial of parental rights, and then when it goes before the judge, you present the situation to the judge, and offer for your boyfriend to “adopt” the child.

I’ve seen that happen in Texas, so long as all parties are in agreement. But it’s imperative that your Exhusband denies parentage. As long as both parties are in agreement, you always have the right to waive a paternity test.
